This is a 10% dilution in organic golden jojoba of our precious and rare Agarwood essential oil sourced from Thailand.
This 10% dilution is crafted from an exceptionally rare and premium Agarwood (Oud) essential oil, Aquilaria crassna, sourced from Thailand. The oil is extracted from the first distillation (Grade I) of naturally occurring dark resinous Aquilaria crassna heartwood, a material revered for its unique aroma and rarity.
Agarwood, also known as Oud, Aloeswood, Agar, Oudh, and Oodh, is highly valued in the perfume industry for its complex and alluring scent. The oil has a rich and mysterious aroma, with woody and sweet notes that are both distinctive and unforgettable. It is often used to add a touch of opulence to fine perfume accords, making it a popular choice among perfumers.
Aside from its use in perfumes, Agarwood (Oud) is also utilized in the production of incense, anointing oils, and spiritual blends. These products are said to have a calming, grounding, and meditative effect on the mind and body, making Agarwood oil a popular choice in the wellness industry.
The production of Agarwood oil is the result of a parasitic mold infestation in the aquilaria tree. This mold causes the tree to produce a dark aromatic resin, as a defensive response to the parasitical mold attack. The resin embeds itself in the heartwood of the tree, resulting in a dense, dark, and resinous material with a distinct aroma. This transformation process takes several hundred years in natural habitat, making Agarwood (Oud) an exceptionally rare and precious oil.
