The resin from Copaiba balsam has historically been used by tribal medicine men in Brazil to treat chronic cystitis, bronchitis, hemorrhoids, diarrhea, coughs and colds, intestinal problems and wound healing. The high level of caryophyllene found in Copaiba Balsam essential oil suggests a host of aroma-therapeutic applications. As with most essential oil distilled from resin the primary aroma-therapeutic benefits seem to be that of a respiratory decongestant nature. Therapeutically, this essential oil is best known by aromatherapy professionals for making a chest rub during winter months, adding to a steam bath or by steam inhalation for coughs and colds.

In perfumery Copaiba balsam is an excellent and inexpensive solution as a base note fixative for natural perfume and can also be added to essential oil blends for scenting candles and soap. The creamy sweet balsamic notes bind beautifully with other oils, particularly in masculine blend combinations containing Sandalwood, Vanilla, or Frankincense.

I got this oil as a sample and immediately was fond of its intoxicating, complex aroma. The top notes are sweet & smokey with a hint of maple syrup and fresh-cut trees. The middle note reminded me of a cigar shop humidor. I also picked up a faint orange peel aroma. I absolutely love the smell of a humidor. My only disappointment with this oil is there are no real base notes. Just a hint of sweetness on the blotter after 4 hours. I was hoping that the sweet tobacco would linger longer. None-the-less I will likely be adding this to my collection for when clients request a sexy, smokey blend that can be diffused. :)

so nice and new

I am new to copaiba balsam essential oil, after using essential oils professionally for over 10 years, and I just love this specimen. There is lightness and fruity sweetness to this oil, making it very versatile.

I was skeptical about the quality of the oils, being that's there are so many offers out there claiming 100% undiluted to find out they are just not true., Upon receiving my package i was surprised first by how well packed it was and then how quickly i got it. My second surprise was upon opening of the packaging , the presentation: WHAT A PROFESSIONAL TREAT! Beautifully Complex

I've had this oil in my possession for a few weeks now and have grown very fond of it. The aroma is a beautiful complexity of wood, resin, honey, forestry and at times even floral! This Copaiba Balsam blended with Sandalwood & Jasmine is unreal... A must have.
