We offer a more affordable option to our pure Jasmine sambac absolute oil, which can be used directly as perfume or blended with complementary oils. The pre-blended Jasmine sambac absolute 10% dilution is mixed with fractionated coconut oil and has an intense floral scent with notes of wood, leather, and a complex, sweet floral aroma. It is a fresh and alluring fragrance that is perfect for any occasion. Details for our pure Jasmine sambac used in this dilution are here.
The difference in fragrance between our Jasmine 10% dilutions (grand and sambac) is quite distinct. In my opinion, grandiflorum dilutions are brighter, lighter, clearer, and have fruity undertones (I think of ripe bananas!). On the other hand, sambac dilutions at 10% are initially much sweeter and have an exotic floral note reminiscent of fresh magnolia flowers but with a long lingering green fruity dry down.
We offer two other Jasmine absolute 10% dilutions, Jasmine grandiflorum (using solvent-extracted Jasmine) and Jasmine grandiflorum (by hexane-free extraction of certified organic Jasmine g. absolute). We have noticed that some aromatherapists avoid using solvent-extracted absolutes for clinical purposes, even if the residual solvent value revealed by GC-MS is in the trace range. We keep stock of hexane-free (benign) extracted absolutes and offer some of these expensive, pure absolutes in 10% dilutions when we can find them.
