Jojoba oil is a popular natural ingredient that is known for its many beneficial properties. Its unique chemical composition, which is made up of wax esters, makes it extremely stable and gives it a long shelf life of 5+ years when stored properly. When applied to the skin, the structure of Jojoba closely resembles that of natural skin sebum, making it an excellent moisturizer for all skin types. It is especially beneficial for dry and mature skin as well as inflamed conditions due to its anti-inflammatory actions. Additionally, it acts as an emulsifier with the skin's natural sebum, gently unclogging pores and removing grime and embedded impurities. 

Jojoba oil is also an excellent ingredient for hair care products, as it is nourishing and can help control acne when used on the skin. It is often added to commercial hair care products, but due to the cost of organic Jojoba oil, the quantity included is usually limited. Its myristic acid content gives it additional anti-inflammatory properties, making it an effective ingredient for inflamed skin conditions. As an antioxidant, it also prevents rancidity in other oils. Jojoba oil can be blended with other carrier oils or used full strength in massage, providing a versatile and nourishing ingredient for skin and hair care.
