I have been dancing around this product trying to find another alternative as this is top dollar but it’s top notch and delivers! It has healed my severe contact dermatitis on my face caused by .15 % benzoic acid usually added so called clean alcohol free organic witch hazels. Most people are not this sensitive but I have developed allergy to it. I finally LGB witch hazel hydrosol out of desperation and watched the redness immediately diminish and felt relief after suffering for few days and the cotton pad had removed deep residue as it cleaned gently. Tannins are highly concentrated as it truly is distilled from the leaves which gives its unique surprising aroma like soft light delicate bergamot tea I wanted to drink. This must be why it’s more expensive. Bark and twigs are traditionally used but as in description must be 100 percent from the leaves. it’s the leaf that gives it delicate aroma with serious healing cleansing power! Grateful that I ordered this and will be returning for more!

Inorganic witch hazels I've tried before have stung horribly and smelled like turpentine; this witch hazel hydrosol is mellow, sweet, and uplifting yet still a potent disinfectant. It has proven an excellent room freshener in a space shared with individuals less sanitary than I. This hydrosol offers a comforting, sunny warmth I would never have guessed possible based on my prior experiences from elsewhere; Lotus Garden once again upholds its sterling reputation. I might even recommend this as an aromatic alongside something like linden or monarda!

I absolutely love this Witch Hazel. I use a few spritz on an organic cotton ball to clean my face every morning. It is so refreshing and makes my skin feel wonderful!
